Terms of Use

1) Agreement & Scope

These Terms govern your access to and use of PlateForm's website, dashboard, and online-ordering software (the "Service"). If you're agreeing for a business (restaurant/brand), you represent you're authorized to bind that business.

2) What PlateForm Is (and Isn't)

PlateForm is software that powers your own storefront(s) and order operations. PlateForm is not a marketplace, courier, or payment processor. You control your menu, prices, taxes, order acceptance, fulfillment, and customer service.

3) Accounts & Eligibility

Provide accurate info, keep credentials secure, and ensure your users follow these Terms. You're responsible for activity on your account.

4) Plans, Billing & Fees

Plan features and prices appear on the Pricing page. PlateForm does not take a commission on your orders. Third-party services you connect (e.g., payments, messaging, maps) may charge their own fees. Subscription charges continue until you change or cancel your plan. Taxes may apply.

5) Storefronts, Domains & Subdomains

Starter: live on a PlateForm subdomain (e.g., yourbrand.plateform.me) with auto-SSL. Pro/Scale: you may map a custom domain via DNS/CNAME; SSL is issued after verification. You manage your DNS.

6) Orders, Payments & Delivery

Payments: Starter supports Cash on Delivery (COD). Online payments (where available) are via your own gateway on Pro/Scale; PlateForm is not the merchant-of-record. Delivery fees: you define distance-based tiers; the Service calculates fees from store to customer pin. Order statuses: placed → accepted/refused → out-for-delivery/ready → delivered/cancelled. You decide acceptance and fulfillment.

7) Messaging & Notifications

You can send order updates to stores/customers via WhatsApp/SMS and/or email through integrated providers. You're responsible for required consents, lawful content, and any provider policies/charges.

8) Acceptable Use

You will not use the Service to: break laws or sell prohibited items; infringe IP or violate privacy; transmit malware or attempt to bypass security/rate limits; spam, scrape, or overload the Service; impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

9) Your Content & License

You own your menus, images, logos, and other content. You grant PlateForm a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and process that content as needed to provide the Service. You're responsible for rights to any content you upload.

10) Data, Privacy & Cookies

For merchant storefronts, the restaurant is the controller of its customers' data; PlateForm acts as processor under the merchant's instructions. For our marketing site and lead forms, PlateForm is the controller. Privacy & Cookie Policy

11) Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, and trademarks, is owned by PlateForm or its licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no other rights are transferred.

12) Availability, Support & Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Support levels vary by plan. We may improve, change, or remove features; material changes to these Terms will be announced in-product or by email.

13) Third-Party Services

The Service may interoperate with third-party providers (e.g., messaging, payments, maps). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services.

14) Termination

You can cancel anytime from the dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate for breach, unlawful use, or security risks. Upon termination, storefronts may be disabled; we allow reasonable data export where feasible.

15) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties except as required by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlateForm is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits/revenue. PlateForm's total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to PlateForm in the 12 months before the claim.

16) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PlateForm harmless from claims arising out of your content, pricing/taxes, messaging practices, fulfillment, or unlawful use of the Service.

17) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Exclusive venue lies with the competent courts in Alexandria, Egypt.
